Our Story
4 Years of Bridging Cultures
The Friends of Indo Canadian Society (FOICS) was established in 2022 by a passionate group of community volunteers who saw the need for a unified platform to celebrate Indo-Canadian identity and champion the community's interests in Canada.
What began as a small neighbourhood initiative has grown steadily into a recognized South Asian community organization. Today, FOICS serves over 1,000 members across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
We offer cultural events, educational workshops, settlement support, and youth leadership programs — all rooted in the belief that a strong, connected community makes Canada better for everyone.
Our Mission
To promote cultural understanding, provide community support, and foster meaningful collaboration between Indo-Canadians and all Canadians — building a more inclusive and vibrant society.
Our Vision
A Canada where Indo-Canadians are fully empowered to contribute their talents, celebrate their heritage, and shape a shared future — while bridging cultures for a stronger nation.
